What size travertine/marble pool coping should you use for your pool?

Market standard for most stone pool coping is 12’’x24’’ while thickness could be 1’’-3’’ range we always recommend at least 2’’ thick material for best result. For the edge of coping material there are several finishes; bullnose, modern edge, rock face. Most popular one is traditional bullnose edge.

straight pool edges are the easiest and you can go either with 12’’ or 16’’ wide material. But most customers go with 12’’ unless they have auto cover. If you have auto cover then you will need a bit wider material to support railing system for your cover. We recommend 16’’ wide travertine or marble pool copings for auto covers.

If you have a free form pool then you can either buy smaller sizes such as 4’’x12’’ or 12’’x12’’. Another option is buying 12’’x24’’ size and having your pool contractor cut them in size of your choice. Radius pool copings might also be an option which will give your pool a much cleaner look however they need the be fabricated and might be costly.
